Most medical care was performed in the patient's home, not in a doctor's office as today. Dispensary bottles were used for preparation and transportation of medicine from the pharmacist's office to the patient's home. This bottle is made from clear, blown glass and features a pontil mark on the bottom, which is a result of the glass blowing procedure.
